TripDays · DDP Lab
Privacy, without the small print maze.
TripDays is built around personal travel data. This policy explains what the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Information you add
TripDays stores the information you create, including trips, stops, stays, transport, activities, spending records, packing lists, journals, preferences, and optional contact details for places.
You decide what to enter. Merchant names, notes, addresses, phone numbers, and travel documents are optional unless a feature clearly requires them.
Photos, scans, and on-device processing
Journal photos are linked to items in your Apple Photos library rather than copied into the journal. If the original is removed or unavailable on another device, TripDays may no longer be able to show it.
Features such as cover images or receipt scanning may create an optimized app-owned attachment. Receipt text can be recognized with Apple Vision and, on supported devices, processed by on-device intelligence. You should review scanned results before saving them.
iCloud sync and trip sharing
When iCloud sync is available, app data is stored in your private iCloud container and handled under your Apple account. Trip sharing uses Apple CloudKit sharing.
A shared trip can include the trip, stops, stays, transport, and activities. Expense records are included only when you choose to share them; receipt images are not shared. Bags, journals, and personal reminder settings are not shared with trip participants.
Apple services and external data
TripDays uses Apple services such as MapKit, Photos, Vision, StoreKit, notifications, and CloudKit. Currency conversion may request current exchange-rate data from a third-party source and cache the result. Those services process requests under their own terms.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your travel data for third-party advertising.
- The website does not require an account to read public pages.
Control, retention, and contact
You can edit or delete content in the app and manage iCloud sharing from the relevant trip. Deleting an app record removes the app's copy, subject to normal iCloud synchronization and backup timing.
